SouthAfrica defeated the Indian by an innings and 32 runs in the first test which was played in centurion. A very dismal day for the indian fans as the team as well.Rabada was the pick of the bowler as he took 5 wicket haul in first innings.
India in thier ist innings made only 245 runs with the brilliant century of KL Rahul took the team out of trouble and get them somehow respectable total of innings.
SouthAfrica on the other hand made 408 with the brilliant century of Dean Elgar who made. 185 runs with partnerships like Jansen,Bedingham and Zorzi.
So, the lead looks so big that only a miracle can save indian from defeat and miracle doesn’t always happens.
In the second innings india bundled out only on 131 with a gutsy knock of King virat kohli and all other player failed to perform. A humiliation for such a good team and and bowler was not on the money as they leak many runs on the bowler friendly conditions.
Dean Elgar made his farewell series memorable and by the way rightly saying ” what a knock from him ” .
Team are moving to capetown for their second test and the only concern for South Africa will be their captain bavuma who is injured due hamstring and for indian perspective they have to comeback in group to hunt the SouthAfrica to level the series.
